In the year of our Lord 2001 a group of players from Earth 25 became frustrated with that game. One man had a dream to build his own game. From the Earth clan Multi Hunters came the first group of Conquest players. The man took his dream to swirve.com and later it evolved into Funauthority.com. That man was then called Bladerunner who also evolved into Preacher Boy then (after puberty?) Preacher Man.
Preacher Boy (the name most of us know him by) stuck with the game through all kinds of bad events. He got the entire playing communitys respect when he banned his own step dad for using a game bug to wipe out countries.
He later survived his site being hacked as well as moderating numerous in game feuds that got carried away in the forums. He caught a lot of flack for maintaining a family friendly site but stuck by his principles and made it work.
Slowly he carved out a niche for his game and kept it free to play despite sometimes probably losing money to keep it running in some months. While he didnt play the game often, when he did he showed he was a good player. I think he abstained from playing because there would be accusations of cheating if the game owner did well in the game.
Recently he sold Funauthority.com so he could put more time and effort into his Ministry, but he will always be remembered here. The Conquest Old Timers Hall of Fame committee is proud to announce March 2007 inductee Aaron Freeman!

Although Conquest became active on the internet in 2001, it was actually born about a year earlier on a network lan at a company that shall remain nameless. It was originally developed using a Microsoft Access database which created the first bug while you were attacking someone their record was locked and they could not take turns, so as long as you kept attacking them over and over, they couldnt do anything! That had to be fixed quickly!
So much has happened in the past 7 years, that its hard to keep it all straight. There have been many good times and probably many more bad times. I certainly dont regret creating this game or investing the time. The Lord used it in a miraculous way to provide for my family. The first few months the site never made a penny. The first month that ANY revenue was received was the month that I lost my regular job. In that month FunAuthority produced nearly $1,000 in revenue. From $0 to $1,000, and only because I needed the money. I never told anyone that I needed it, but the Lord used this game to support my family. Since that time the same event has occured over and over.
Selling FunAuthority.com was a bittersweet event. It was great to be relieved of the burden of continual maintenance and moderating sometimes irrational players. But, it was painful to give up something that has been such a large part of my life. In the end it came down to a burden and calling to go in another direction in my life.
I am certainly pleased to be inducted, but realize that it is more for my impact on the game itself rather than any playing ability! Ive never been a great player. Ive generally abstained from being in clans due to showing favoritism, which effectively meant that I could not play on the HA server. Although I developed the code, the players themselves have often taught me the best strategies and Ive had to learn how to actually play the game from them!
Over the years I have been taught many lessons by listening to the players on this site. Even Bad Max, who could be described using a lot of words that I wont use here, has helped me to grow as a person. As I leave FunAuthority.com behind I am thankful to each of you for what you have been used to do in my personal life.
